Mark Rampolla
Mark Rampolla was the Founder and CEO of ZICO Beverages. Launched in 2004, ZICO was one of the trailblazers of today’s billion-dollar coconut water category and remains the #2 brand globally. Mark has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Bloomberg, CNBC and Business Week. In 2013 The Coca-Cola Company acquired ZICO Beverages. Mark now invests in and advises early and growth stage companies in the food, beverage and technology industries and advocates for social entrepreneurship. He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer, graduated from Marquette University and holds Master Degrees from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and Nicholas School of the Environment. Mark, wife Maura, and daughters Ciara and Alexis live in Redondo Beach, California.
Anshuman Vohra
Anshuman Vohra was born in India and is the founder and CEO of Bulldog Gin. Inspired by both his travels around the globe and his love of gin, Anshuman left his career in investment banking at JP Morgan to create BULLDOG Gin. In 2007, BULLDOG Gin was founded with the mission of being the “go-to” spirit for the next generation of premium gin drinkers. His exotic blend of 12 botanicals from 8 countries is responsible for the smooth, harmonious flavor unique to BULLDOG Gin. BULLDOG Gin is now distributed globally in over 40 countries and is ranked the world’s fastest growing premium gin by the IWSR.
Anshuman received his degree in finance from the College of William and Mary where he presented the school in NCAA Division I tennis.
Kip Frey
Kip Frey ran a series of successful venture-backed companies including Ventana Communications Group, Accipiter, Inc., and OpenSite Technologies, Inc. prior to joining Intersouth.
Kip Frey is currently President and CEO of Canines, Inc., an early-stage company focused on animal cognition analysis, which he founded with Duke anthropology professor Dr. Brian Hare. He was previously CEO of EvoApp, Inc. and Zenph Sound Innovations, Inc., transitioning in late 2009 from his partnership at venture capital firm Intersouth Partners.
Mr. Frey has been a professor at Duke University for the past twenty years. He is currently Professor of the Practice of Law & Public Policy, where he teaches entrepreneurship and intellectual property policy. Mr. Frey is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema and of Duke Law School.
